TEACHING Consortium Meeting and the 1st Pervasive AI workshop of WCCI 2022 has been successfully finished last week on 18-19/07/2022, in Padua, Italy.
We kept the meeting in hybrid nature and most of the partners were able to participate physically! This was a great opportunity to make constructive discussions about work package updates and technical subjects, such as the TEACHING platform integration and an application running on top of it.
The main focus of the consortium meeting was to review progress in all WPs and hold an extensive technical workshop. Thus, on the 2nd day, the TEACHING project co-organised and participated in the 1st Pervasive AI workshop at WCCI 2022, which was held last week. IEEE WCCI 2022 is the world’s largest technical event on computational intelligence, featuring the three flagship conferences of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) under one roof: the 2022 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2022), the 2022 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ-IEEE 2022), and the 2022 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (IEEE CEC 2022). Member of the Organizing Committee was our TEACHING Coordinator, Università di Pisa (Mr Davide Bacciu).
A great meeting with loads of discussions thanks to the positive vibe of the room crowd. We have witnessed how many diverse exciting research challenges are ahead of us, spanning pervasive computing, hardware design, neuromorphic computing, neural networks design & co-design, and Software as a Service (SaaS).
We would like to thank our invited speakers, Mrs Hava Siegelmann and Mrs Diane Larlus.
Both workshop and consortium meetings were very productive, and we wish to have more physical meetings and workshop participation in the near future!
